Uh oh, shill alert! There’s a new Godzilla mobile game and I am already on board.

With Godzilla: King of the Monsters stomping its way onto cinema screens next week, there’s already a stonking-looking mobile title on the way.

Developed by Nexon, Godzilla Defence Force is a card-collecting clicker game that will most certainly not be very great. As a free-to-play game full to the brim with microtransactions, it’s bound to infuriate fans and newcomers alike.

However, with that said, I’m probably going to make this my mobile game of choice until the next Godzilla film has its disappointing tie-in game. Why? Because it’s Godzilla! He’s big and I like that!

From the screenshots on the game’s Google Play page, where you could preregister, it looks absolutely mundane. But it does show King Ghidorah, Mechagodzilla, Shin Godzilla (or Gojira, nerd), and even Godzilla ’95 and even Spacegodzilla.

While it probably won’t be as great as the amazing Match 3 game that released back in 2014, Godzilla Defense Force will probably be a mediocre time for shills like me.
