GitHub

Back in November 2019, GitHub first announced the official GitHub mobile apps coming to iOS and Android devices. With GitHub for mobile, you can review code, merge changes, and share feedback from anywhere. Microsoft today announced the release of latest GitHub mobile 1.3 update with new features that make code review easier and faster. Read about them below.

  • The new version of GitHub for mobile features an overhaul of the code review experience. For example, it can be super painful to read code on your mobile device when the lines keep wrapping. So, you can now turn off line wrapping.
  • You can change the email associated with a merge, and edit the commit description.
  • Support for comments on multiple lines of code is now available in GitHub for mobile. Just long press to enter multi-select mode.
  • You can now tap the new “Jump To” icon that lets you quickly bounce between them so you can review everything in a snap.

You can download GitHub mobile from Google Play or the App Store.
