Microsoft yesterday announced a partnership with Motiga to bring its first game, Gigantic, to Windows 10 and Xbox One. Gigantic is a five-on-five third-person battle arena game with a beautiful fantasy art style where you select from an array of heroes with distinctive powers and play styles and wield your way through an areas to defeat your opposition’s Guardian – while also protecting your own.
Today at GDC, Microsoft and Motiga have announced a partnership to publish Gigantic for Windows 10 and Xbox One later this year. The game will be free to play on Windows 10 and on the Xbox One with Xbox Live Gold. Gigantic takes its inspiration from some of the most popular multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) games and is also heavily influenced by third-person shooters. In the game, you join a team of 5 players to fight fantasy battles alongside a five-story-tall massive guardian monster which protects you and your team. You’ll battle against the enemy team in a mix of action and strategy. Sounds fun, right?
