Ghost of Yotei set to launch on PS5 on October 2

Sucker Punch has officially announced Ghost of Y?tei, the highly anticipated spiritual successor to Ghost of Tsushima, set to launch on PS5 on October 2, 2025. While it tells an entirely new story, the studio promises a worthy follow-up in tone, style, and emotional depth.

The game follows Atsu, a lone survivor of a brutal massacre carried out by a gang called the Y?tei Six. Sixteen years after being left for dead, she returns to Ezo (modern-day Hokkaido) with a singular goal: vengeance. Armed with the very katana used in her attempted execution, Atsu’s journey is both bloody and deeply personal.

The latest trailer, The Onry?’s List, teases the brutal intensity of her mission while showcasing the beautiful and treacherous landscapes of Ezo. As players hunt down each member of the Y?tei Six—The Snake, The Oni, The Kitsune, The Spider, The Dragon, and Lord Saito—they’ll also discover new weapons, allies, and a unique gameplay mechanic that reveals Atsu’s past.

Ghost of Y?tei expands the open-world exploration and freedom of its predecessor, letting players choose their targets and paths. Pre-orders go live May 2 at 10:00 AM local time, with multiple editions, including a Collector’s Edition, available.
