GetTaxi’s Windows Phone app only coming at the end of the year.

GetTaxi is an Israeli-based startup that develops and operates a web and a mobile-based taxi cab ordering service of the same name. The GetTaxi application connects between customers and taxi drivers using the application’s proprietary GPS system and enables users to order a cab either with their smartphone or through the company’s website and it currently operates in London, Moscow and in 13 cities in Israel.

The application is compatible with iPhone, BlackBerry and Android and the company, somewhat prominently, is promising a Windows Phone app also.

Unfortunately it seems the app is not a great priority.

Reader Mike asked their support on Facebook when the app is coming and had the following conversation.

Mike : Do you have any estimated release date for the App for Windows Phone.

Get Taxi : Until the end of the year hopefully

Mike : Wow, I guess we’re going to be able to launch satellites and the app will be able to wash the dishes with that much dev. time.

It seems if you want to order a taxi using your Windows Phone it may still be a better idea to use the action phone function.

Thanks Mike for the tip.
