Gears of War 4 goes gold


The Coalition, makers of Gears of War 4 today announced that the game has gone gold. Members of The Coalition team were joined by Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella, Terry Myerson, Phill Spencer and Yusuf Mehdi to celebrate the milestone at their HQ. For those who are unfamiliar, reaching the “gold” status means that the game’s initial development has finished and this is what customers will get when purchasing the game next month. Of course, the company will get bug fixes and minor improvements over the coming weeks, which will likely be available as a new update on the release day.

In case you are wondering, Gears of War 4 is part of the Xbox Play Anywhere program, which means you’ll be able to play it on your Windows 10 PC and Xbox One by paying once. Gears of War 4 will be available on October 11, and you can pre-order it from here for $59.99.
