At the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) conference where more than 50,000 medical professionals from around the globe to share the latest discoveries, technologies, and techniques that are transforming the field, GE Healthcare is showcasing Centricity 360™ Case Exchange. It is a Microsoft Azure based cloud collaboration service for medical professionals.

One innovation that you won’t want to miss is GE Healthcare’s Centricity 360™ Case Exchange. With this cloud-based collaboration service, medical professionals can quickly share patient images and reports with other clinicians, regardless of location. Clinicians no longer have to wait for medical images to be shipped by CD. By making it possible to view medical images securely in the cloud, Case Exchange fosters a clinical community in which medical professionals can quickly confer on patient cases, simultaneously access patients’ images and reports, and collaborate on diagnosis and treatment plans.

The benefits of this approach are many. Case Exchange gives the entire care team rapid access to patient images and reports, allowing them to respond quickly in critical situations such as trauma or stroke. It helps prevent unnecessary patient transfers between medical facilities. Case Exchange also reduces the need for duplicate imaging, say, for example, when CDs get lost in the mail, and it lowers CD distribution costs. In addition, it reinforces a culture of collaboration—all without upfront costs. Because Case Exchange is available in the cloud, clinicians can simply pay as they go for what they use.
