The Taptitude name is well known among the WP7 game marketplace so far, and their recent free release of the Rush Pack brings even more exciting addicting games.
Overall Score: 4/5
The Rush Pack includes five different games, but they all have a related theme. That theme is the goal of tilting your phone to make some balls pass over a checkpoint circle on the screen. The controls work perfectly whether you’re sitting up or laying down with the phone parallel to the ground. The gameplay is extremely fun, even though it is quite simple. Trying to get a higher score in each mini-game is more enjoyable thanks to the star-rating system, that gives you a score out of 5, instantly telling you how you did on that mini-game. Playing the games again and trying to find more efficient ways of beating them with higher scores is also lots of fun.
The game looks fantastic. The subtle animations of bubbles bursting off the balls is a nice touch. However, the game lacks musics and sounds, which slightly hurts the presentation. Also, the backlight always turns off while you’re playing, so you have to tap the screen to keep it awake. And, the game lacks the ability to resume your current game.
Lasting Value: 5/5
That star-rating system really helps the lasting value of the game, and the fact that it includes five similar mini-games also helps. Plus, the weekly and all-time leaderboards are functional and great. The local leaderboard is the factor that brings the lasting value to a 5. However, the game could benefit from a leaderboard feature that shows you what number you are on the leaderboard if you aren’t in the top 25.
