Game Review: Super Juicy

This game takes some gameplay elements from Tetris, Bubble Burst, and more, and combines it in a unique and excellent physics puzzle game! Oh btw, it’s free!

Overall Score: 4/5

The gameplay found in Super Juicy will impress you. The presentation is also pretty good. The lasting value, however, is mediocre.

Gameplay: 5/5

The goal of the game is to make bubbles of the same color touch, and then tap them when three or more of the same color are touching. More bubbles keep on flowing in from the top (or even the bottom when gravity reverses!) so you better move fast. The neat thing about the game is that you can actually move around all the bubbles by tilting your phone! The gameplay is stellar, and has every great aspect you could want. For example, the game encourages you to be precise in your moves, because if you tap a bubble that doesn’t have a combo, it’ll penalize you by increasing the size of the bubble and taking off a few points. The game also has bombs, which sometimes require a specific number of bubbles in the combo, black holes that suck all the pieces into the center, unbreakable blocks that require the bombs or black hole to get rid of, and more! And the game is also really challenging, so it makes you try for your victory. Overall it’s very impressive and fun!

Presentation: 4/5

The music sounds great and the visuals look awesome too. However, there’s nothing that stands out and deserves a 5 here.

Lasting Value: 3/5

The game will last you over 2 hours, which is pretty good, but it lacks an online leaderboard. You do have a local leaderboard, but that doesn’t really help extend the lasting value by much.
