Game Review: Occupied

If you’re looking for some fast and addicting gameplay, Occupied has you covered!

Overall Score: 5/5

This game manages to engage you with what sounds like a boring task: directing people to the bathroom; and tops the experience off with smooth visuals and surprisingly long lasting value!

Gameplay: 5/5

Sure, it may not be your dream job, but directing men and women (and other things) earns the high score check you need! And Occupied makes this task extremely exciting. You’re presented with a line of people (men, women, children, Androids, terrorists), and you have to drag them into the correct bathroom as quickly as possible. You have a time limit on each level, and each level becomes faster and tougher. After playing the game once, you’re sure to be hooked on it. Trying to beat your previous scores and become better is inevitable, especially because the game tells you how much better or worse you are compared to other people playing it! The variation in the game is awesome. In some levels, you have to deal with rotating bathrooms, while in others, you have to identify terrorists! Occupied is a fantastic example of how to be successful with a simple gaming concept.

Presentation: 5/5

Everything about the presentation is butter smooth, and it even resumes pretty fast! The graphics are simple yet effective and professional looking. The music is great too, and doesn’t seem to get repetitive even though it seems like it could!

Lasting Value: 5/5

Thanks to the various difficulty levels you can unlock, the two different game scenes, the variation in gameplay, and the highly integrated high score system that ranks you against all the other players, the lasting value is very impressive for a simple game! You can’t do much more than this!
