Max and the Magic Marker is a logic/puzzle/platformer type of game where you have to navigate your way through the levels by drawing your own platforms or creations to help you.

Overall Score: 5/52eccdf3b-8b84-4bff-934c-59001424dc9f[1]

This game is truly challenging, addicting, and rewarding to play. Some of the levels require you to think outside the box and use your magic marker creatively in order to reach a higher platform or cross a gap. For $6.99, the game provides about 4 hours of gameplay, or even more, and is completely worth your money.

Gameplay: 5/5 (Weighted to be 2x more important)

The game’s controls are simple: The left side of the screen has the horizontal character movement buttons, and the right side has the jump or grab button. Drawing creations with your marker is done by simply drawing on the screen. The challenging gameplay is what brings Max and the Magic Marker to life. Each level presents unique challenges that you must overcome, and keeps the pacing of the game moving along well. If you’re looking for an entertaining puzzle type game that is full of excitement, Max and the Magic Marker delivers.

Visuals: 5/5

The visuals are simple yet effective, and contribute to the gameplay’s theme of creativity.

Story: N/A

There is a little “Story” button in the main menu, but it simply loads a thirty second video that introduces why you are in this little world. If you never click the “Story” button, you never get a glimpse of a story, which is perfectly fine; the premise of the game is clear enough without having a story to slow down the excitement.
