Game Review: Juice Factory

Throw knives at fruit… for FREE!

Overall Score: 3/5

While the lasting value is weak, the gameplay is pretty fun.

Gameplay: 4/5

In this game, you throw a knife and try to slice all the fruit on the screen. It’s not like Fruit Ninja, these fruits are all static. However, you have to bounce your knife off metal platforms, avoid wood platforms, and more! These elements make the game pretty fun, and each level is unique enough to stay entertaining and feel like a new challenge. The score cards at the end of levels are also neat and feature some funny little quotes. However, the game could definitely use a restart button (right now you just have to throw the rest of your knives to restart, which is annoying).

Presentation: 3/5

The visuals in the game are nice, but the game only has one song and it constantly repeats. The song is good (steel drums!) but come on, it gets old after the 300th time! And the game oddly doesn’t show what levels you completed and what you scored on them… so you have no clue what you have already played.

Lasting Value: 2/5

With only about an hour and a half of gameplay total, the lasting value is just very average. It does have leaderboards but they only display the top 10 and are pretty useless since you can’t find yourself. And it doesn’t display what score you got on levels you already completed, so replayability is basically nonexistent.QRCode
