Overall Score: 2/5
Typical fighting games involve button mashing, but this game involves touch screen mashing! There’s some logic in deciding which attack to use, but the game is so ridiculously easy that it doesn’t really use much thought. Buying new skills (using the points you earn from fights) isn’t really even important, since you can beat the game using the same attacks each time. There are different characters that have different skills like strength or endurance, but there’s no reason to explore these different characters since the game simply isn’t that exciting and way too easy. The different tapping attacks are unique in their own ways, but unless you absolutely love tapping, it is not that interesting of a game.
The 3D graphics in the game are pretty good, though they are slightly pixelated. Considering that all the animations are pre-set, the visuals aren’t that impressive. The load speeds are very annoying when you have to resume the game (update it for Mango, developers!). The music and sound effects help keep the game enjoyable though!
Lasting Value: 1/5
While playing through the first two tournaments, you start to wonder: Is this game going to get any tougher? Nope. It remains the exact same thing throughout the whole game basically. There are different skills and characters you can explore, but there’s no reason to explore them really. They also have a leaderboard, but the leaderboard scores are basically based on how much time you spend playing the game, so that’s no fun to compete in. And the total lasting value of playing through the game once is only about two hours. Very disappointing for an Xbox Live title.
