Game Review: Contract Killer

DO NOT download this or any other Glu games… they’re terrible.

Overall Score: 1/5

This game doesn’t even pass Microsoft’s own Application Certification Requirements…..

Gameplay: 1/5

If you can actually play this game it’s sort of fun, but for most people this game simply crashes and never works. It might work for the first few times you play it, but then it simply stops working and you can never open it. That also means if you spent any real money inside the game, you’re screwed.

Presentation: 1/5

Contract Killer fails at least two sections of Microsoft’s Application Certification Requirements. Section 5.1.2 dictates that “an application that closes unexpectedly fails certification”, something that Glu games constantly do. Also, section 5.2.1 says that “within 20 seconds after launch, the application must be responsive to user input”. Microsoft either doesn’t test thoroughly or grants exceptions to Xbox Live games… either way, this makes for a terrible experience on Windows Phone. Microsoft needs to start rejecting Glu’s games ASAP until Glu starts paying attention to how terrible they are on Windows Phone.

Lasting Value: 1/5

Depending on how long it takes before the game starts to constantly crash, you could possibly get an hour of gameplay. For some people, it never even worked on the first boot up.
