Game Review: BulletAsylum

Want something fun and fast paced? Check out BulletAsylum, this week’s Xbox Live title.

Overall Score: 5/5

This game is great! The gameplay is entertaining, visuals are great, and lasting value is good. It’s a recommended buy!

Gameplay: 5/5

BulletAsylum is simply a struggle for survival, and your only weapon of defense is your bullets. Shoot the incoming enemies before they hit you in order to survive. The fast pace and excellent enemy variation in the game keeps it exciting from start to finish. Plus, there are three different gameplay modes to keep you entertained. Survival is extremely fun since you can truly test your skills and see how long you can withstand the endless waves of enemies. Architect is also awesome, since you have control over which weapons you are using and where you place them. The controls work pretty well. You could say that your fingers cover the screen too much… it’s a touchscreen folks. The controls feel great, the gameplay is exciting and entertaining, and overall it is a lot of fun!

Presentation: 5/5

Vivid visuals, excellent music/sound effects, and it’s Mango enabled. Even the menu interface is bursting with colors. This game will show off your AMOLED’s colors!

Lasting Value: 4/5

There is a lot of lasting value with all the unlockables and upgrades, but the game could benefit from a campaign mode where you have to complete each level in order to unlock the next, instead of simply wave after wave of enemies. Nevertheless, you can definitely get your money’s worth from this game!qrcode
