We have heard recently that Samsung was still optimistic about a July launch of the Samsung Galaxy Fold, but recent news places that into doubt.

We heard today that AT&T has informed those who pre-ordered the handset, telling them that their pre-order has been cancelled.

The letter reads:

“Samsung delayed the release of the phone, which means we can’t ship your phone“.

AT&T is compensating prospective buyers with a $100 AT&T Promotional Card, to be sent out in the next 60 days, just in time for the iPhone 11 and Note 1o.

The release was originally planned for June, but Samsung had said “stabilization work will be longer than planned.

Samsung had earlier said “The release schedule has not been decided, and we are in a position to announce the launch schedule in a few weeks.

Samsung may still release the device in their local market before an international release.
