FreeTalk – Google voice client for windows phone 7 (with translation)

If you use Google Voice, I am sure you would have tried all the google voice application on windows phone. There are some which are there from the day marketplace was launched and thus have a good user base. However if you haven’t tried FreeTalk yet, you would want to try the recent release. It didn’t get a good start because of some breaking bugs but since then multiple updates went live and the recent one is pretty good. It’s very different than all the other out there.

FreeTalk is the only application on windows phone which takes advantage of the nice Panorama view of the windows phone and nicely display your recent messages along with dialer to make outgoing call. This is over the pretty bing image of the day. If you drill down, you see your message separated by different views. The SMS conversation view is fast and pretty.

All this comes with Push notification so that you have real-time updates of any incoming messages or voicemail.
If you need more, FreeTalk V2.1 (available in marketplace) also offers the ability to convert your text into almost 30 different languages before sending. It can also let you translate incoming text to your local language. This makes communicating with parties in other countries much easier if you don’t know their language. Also for people from other countries like China, it makes sending messages to love one in their native language a breeze. This is available in the Trial version so see if you like it.
