Forza Horizon 4 Battle Royale is an actual real, tangible, not-even-a-little-bit-fake thing and I don’t know how to feel.

Called The Eliminator, Forza Horizon 4’s insane new mode pits 72 racers against each other in a battle for vehicular dominance.

Announced via a slew of influencers all sharing gameplay clips, the new Forza Horizon 4 Battle Royale doesn’t look bad at all.

Releasing as a free update for the popular Xbox One/Windows 10 racing game, there’s no harm in players simply trying it out. PlayStation 4 players? Eh, they’ll have to stick with PUBG and Fortnite.

The Forza Horizon 4 Battle Royale update will see a bunch of new achievements added to the racing game to entice players into checking out the all-new PvP mode.

I”celebration of our amazing fans, we bring you an all-new, battle royale inspired game mode – The Eliminator, coming to Forza Horizon 4 for free in the Series 17 update on Dec. 12,” developer PlayGround Games announced.

“The Eliminator invites up to 72 players to face-off within an arena set in the open world of Britain. Eliminating one another in head-to-head races to earn upgrades and a chance to pick up faster cars. Arena walls contract throughout the game, forcing players closer together until a final white-knuckle race among the survivors determines the winner.”

Things are looking great for the Forza series at the moment. While both the Forza Motorsport and Forza Horizon series are both taking a year off in the run up to Xbox Scarlett – Forza Motorsport 8 will most likely be a launch title – things are looking great behind the scenes.

With the return of the previously absent Toyota brand to the series, racing game fans have a lot to look forward to. As the series approaches its inevitable next-generation entry with the quickly oncoming release of Microsoft’s next-gen console, racing games are in a good spot. Just how good will Forza look with those alleged Scarlett specs?
