Meta, WhatsApp and Facebook’s parent company, is rolling out a new feature that will allow users to forward messages on WhatsApp and then create a new group chat based on it.

Folks over at WABetaInfo first spotted and confirmed the update in the latest update for iOS users under build number 23.17.81. This new feature is currently being rolled out to iOS users, and it is expected to be available to Android users soon.

To use the new feature, simply open a message that you want to forward, and then tap on the “Forward” button. A new screen will appear, and you will see a new option to “Create Group” on the top right of your screen.

Tap on this option, and you will be able to select the contacts that you want to add to the new group. Once you have selected the contacts, the message will be forwarded to the new group.

Did we also mention that the CEO of Meta himself, Mark Zuckerberg, has said that you can create WhatsApp groups without names? This update may be trivial for some, but still a welcomed addition nonetheless, especially if you’re too lazy to do that.

WhatsApp for mobile is available on iOS and Android.
