Fortnite’s annual Halloween event, Fortnitemares, is set to return for its third year in the game tomorrow, October 29th.
Fortnitemares usually brings with it new challenges, cosmetics, heroes, weapons, quests, and much more.
While Epic has been quiet on what Fortnitemares 2019 will contain, we can take a safe guess that the game will get an appropriately frightful facelift.
All that the official Fortnite Twitter account has given us so far is a start time, some costume teases, and a teaser image. The event kicks off at 9AM ET (1PM GMT) and the teaser image appears to show a character clad in an eerie looking gas mask.
Face your fears.

Meanwhile, some of the cosmetics arriving to celebrate Fortnitemares include the Jawbreaker Outfit, Teef Outfit, Goo Glider, Globber Pickaxe, Stickers Pickaxe, and Noshy Wrap, all of which can be seen below.
Also available are the Chaos Agent Outfit, Chaos Scythe, and Black Ooze Wrap which, again, can be seen below.
The delightfully witchy Delirium Outfit and Spellbound Staff are also available, for those looking for a more supernatural spin.
Last, but not least, is the Dead Ball Set, which speaks for itself. All of these items have also been available for purchase prior to the launch of Fortnitemares, but they’ll most likely rotate back into the store during the event.
While other details about the event are scarce, we can make some educated guesses on what might happen. It’s likely that Epic will use the new map to their advantage to throw some unexpected scares our way, whether that will be a new PvE event or something entirely new.
It’s also highly likely that a new Limited Time Mode with a Halloween theme will appear along with a brand new reward card.
Fortnitemares kicks off at 9AM ET on the 29th of October, 2019. Happy gaming!
