Fortnite’s Season 10 finale saw the game going out with a bang – quite literally, in fact, as the world watched the entire game get sucked into a black hole.
Season 10’s final event, aptly known as The End, saw the end of Fortnite as we know it. Players who were in-game found themselves watching helplessly as rockets and a meteor caused unrelenting chaos across the map, before the destruction was brought to an abrupt halt by the appearance of a black hole.
The black hole then proceeded to suck everything out of existence.
If you try to log in to Fortnite right now, you’ll find yourself locked out of all game modes, and the game is completely offline. Trying to access the iconic Battle Royale mode will bring up an error message before the black hole re-emerges to consume your menu screen.
You can watch the black hole doing its thing on Fortnite’s official Twitter feed through the embedded Tweet below.

The black hole isn’t spitting out many clues right now, but that isn’t stopping over 70,000 (at time of publishing) viewers tuning in regardless.
So, what does this all mean? We actually may already know. The other day, the Italian Apple App Store seemingly accidentally leaked Fortnite: Chapter 2. Fortnite: Chapter 2 appears to contain a brand new map, brand new characters, and brand new features.
We’ll hopefully find out what the ominous Fortnite black hole is all about soon enough. In the meantime, you can enjoy a classic and on-topic tune below.
