Microsoft recently commissioned Forrester to study the impact of deploying a single 2-in-1 device like Surface Pro 3 in the enterprise. After examining the costs, benefits, flexibility, and risk factors, the study found that consolidating devices can lead to important savings for businesses. By consolidating an employee’s laptop, desktop, and tablet into one single device, Forrester estimates a 209% ROI.
This strategy provides workers with the full functionality of a PC while creating new opportunities for mobile engagement, and in turn equipping them with the tools to better support and inform their customers on the fly.
According to Forrester’s study, companies that consolidated their devices also saw a 15% improvement in close rate, and 20% improvement in deal size when mobile presentations were given via an advanced tablet like the Surface Pro 3.
United Technologies increased productivity in its users by 10% by minimizing repetitive tasks, eliminating transition time from one device to the next, and taking advantage of “in between” times. It also empowered 90% of all users to get more work done while they were away from their desk, improving morale and general health standards.
