Five of the best games in the Xbox 360 Super Sale

xbox-360-super-sale

Even if the Xbox One is going stronger than ever, Microsoft still hasn’t forgotten about the Xbox 360. A rightfully named Xbox 360 Super Sale is running in the Xbox Store right now, and it has some of the best games from the last generation for great prices. A lot of these games work on the Xbox One through Backward Compatibility, too, so it’s worth looking into even if you don’t have an Xbox 360.

If you’d like to check out the full sale, you can find it here. Keep on reading for some of our top picks from the sale (which aren’t in any particular order).

Saints Row IV ($8.74 – 75% off)

saints-row-iv

Saints Row IV took the best of Saints Row: The Third and made it even better. It’s a crazy superpower fueled romp that lets you wreak havoc in a gigantic open world, and it’s arguably the best (or second best, if you prefer the more serious side of Saints Row II) game in the series, and that’s an achievement.

Just Cause 2 ($3.74 – 75% off)

just-cause-2

Just Cause was a franchise that really got off on the wrong foot. While the original game had its moments, it was pretty clunky, and seems to have been forgotten for the most part. That’s not really a bad thing, especially when the sequel is more than good enough to make up for all of the issues the original had- and you don’t need to play the original, either.

Just Cause 2 is explosive, adrenaline fueled, and turns a simple grappling hook into one of the most enjoyable weapons to use in any game. To say it’s worth your time is an understatement.

Mirror’s Edge ($4.94 – 67% off)

mirrors-edge

The original Mirror’s Edge is a special game. The art design’s not only aesthetically pleasing, but meshes with really satisfying parkour gameplay. Managing to find out the right way to get to the next area feels really good, even if there often is a lot of trial and error involved. While the story isn’t incredibly long – most people seem to be able to get through the game in around six hours – the price is pretty low right now, and it’s an unforgettable experience.

Devil May Cry HD Collection ($4.99 – 80% off)

devil-may-cry

At the time of writing, this game does not run on the Xbox One through Backward Compatibility. All other titles on the list do, however.

Devil May Cry is one of the most iconic video game franchises of all time, and this collection contains the first three games in the series remastered in HD. While Devil May Cry 1 and 2 are a bit more dated, 3 took the franchise up to the heights it’s known for today, and it’s well worth the $4.99 asking price just for it alone. It’s a high speed action game with a focus on melee combat, and it’s a great challenge.

Deus Ex: Human Revolution ($3.74 – 60% off)

deus-ex

If you didn’t play Deus Ex: Mankind Divided because you didn’t play Human Revolution, this one’s for you. Human Revolution brought the Deus Ex series to the modern era of gaming, and you get a lot of content for $3.74. It’s a first person RPG set in the near future of 2027. Humans are now being augmented with artificial parts, and society’s unable to handle the change. There’s riots, attacks on leading companies researching augmentation, and the future’s uneasy. It’s a big game with a lot of replay value, and seriously worth checking out- especially if Mankind Divided has caught your attention.
