First real picture of HTC Opal

PocketPT.net has managed to scare up the first real picture of the HTC Opal, and from there we can see exactly where the code name came from. The sparkly gemstone-like design is clearly not aimed at the normal Windows Mobile business-user market.

According to PocketPT.net, apart from the casing, the innards are much the same as the upgraded 128 MB GSM HTC Touch, but that TouchFlo has been significantly improved, and that the unit feels significantly faster. Of note however is that the screen is not flush, a significant reversal from HTC’s recent device trend and likely a further indication that this will be a cheaper low-end unit.
