Finland’s DNA purchase Booxmedia, to bring downloadable TV content to Windows Phone

imageFinnish carrier DNA has purchased 20% of  Booxmedia, creator of the booxTV service, which allows users to download TV for storage on their phones and tablets and later watch it off-line.

The service already has iOS and Android apps, but with DNA’s involvement will also be releasing a Windows Phone app this summer.

DNA will also offer booxTV service for six months free-of-charge to DNA’s selected phone and broadband customers in its summer campaign, something I am sure the burgeoning number of Windows Phone users in Finland would not want to miss out on.
