Final Fantasy XV’s multiplayer mode is coming to Xbox One in October

Update: Final Fantasy XV’s multiplayer expansion trial is now available on Xbox One. The final version comes out on October 31.

Square Enix today announced that Final Fantasy XV fans can look forward to an exclusive preview of the upcoming Final Fantasy XV – Multiplayer Expansion: Comrades with a closed online test on Xbox One. Available from Thursday August 3 to Tuesday, August 8, 2017, the closed online test for Final Fantasy XV – Multiplayer Expansion: Comrades will be carried out simultaneously across all regions worldwide, allowing players to create their own custom avatars and join together with up to 3 others to participate in exciting multiplayer quests to bring the Light back to Lucis.

All eligible players who meet the entry conditions will be able to download and participate in the Comrades closed online test from the Xbox Store throughout the duration of the beta. To participate in the test, Square Enix requires you to purchase the Season Pass and a subscription to Xbox Live Gold. The content of the test version will be different to the final product. It will not be possible to carry data over from the test to the final version.
