Fim (Facebook IM) Updated: It’s finally functional!

The first Facebook Chat application for Windows Phone 7, Fim, received a major update earlier today, including the ability to vibrate on new messages, run with the screen off, and use the auto-correcting keyboard!

Previously, not being able to run the application with your phone’s screen off was a huge disadvantage, since you could end up being logged off if you didn’t touch your phone for a minute. But now, the app runs beneath your lock screen, and will continue to receive IM’s with the screen off!

Also, you can finally enable the application to vibrate on new instant messages. This helps you chat with multiple people at a time or turn off your phone’s screen and be notified of a new IM.

And finally, the keyboard in Fim has been updated to use the auto-correcting keyboard everyone knows and loves! Previously, the keyboard wouldn’t correct your typing or offer suggestions. With the new update, text entry is lightning fast!

If you already have Fim installed, you can find the update from within the Marketplace app on your phone!
