Fenice for Windows is a Twitter Client with 280 character support and fluent design

Earlier this year, Twitter added support for tweeting with 280 characters to their platform, rolling out updates to iOS and Android apps to support this feature.
While the Windows 10 Twitter app has yet to be updated with support for 280 characters on either PCs or Mobile (Ok, no one expected that), one of our favourite Windows apps Fenice for Twitter has already incorporated the feature.
Fenice also now offers support for Microsoft’s fluent design, allowing users to customise just how they fluent they want the app to be and offering a dark theme as well as a light theme.

While it isn’t the best Twitter app out there for power-users of the social platform, Tweeten and Tweetdeck are arguably contenders, for users who live in the Windows 10 ecosystem, it is a pretty good choice.
Here’s a full feature list, from the Windows Store:

  •  Interactive notifications: reply, add to favourites or retweet a mention without even launch the app! Works for direct messages too!
  •  Have a look at different accounts at the same time. Your Homescreen has never been so personal.
  •  What You See Is What You Get when composing a tweet
  •  Powerful filters: mute hashtags, Clients and Users (regex support!)
  •  Create and manage your lists
  •  Drafts
  •  Memes are everywhere. Add them to your tweets from the app (GIFs too!)
  •  Add tweets to your Pocket or Instapaper account
  •  Streaming! You don’t need to refresh to see new tweets, Fenice will show new tweets automagically!
