Fenice gets another big update, now with Windows Hello support

Less that 2 weeks after the last update the Fenice developer has pressed the button again and published a new version of their app to the Windows 10 store.

The update to version 2.9.1 brings a large number of changes, the most interesting being support for Windows Hello authentication at start up, improved notification management and improved background agent stability.

The Universal Windows App has the following changelog:

  • Interactive and highlighted mentions, hashtags and links in the main page
  • You can now enable Windows Hello authentication at the startup
  • Notifications with user profile picture and image preview

  • Improved streaming error handling
  • You can now delete saved searches in the new search page
  • You can now enable auto translate in the extended tweet page
  • New button to restart streaming when we detect it has stopped
  • We now clear the live tile when you dismiss a notification
  • You can now set the app to show “open in Giradischi” when a media is available [BETA]

  • Now the edit list flyout shows the description correctly
