Over the last three weeks feed me has had two updates containing many small enhancements that have greatly improved usability.
As well as adding support for themes, there is now a full import from Google Reader (folders in Google Reader will be imported as groups). The article view has also been completely revamped. There is a new full-screen view in landscape mode and you can now swipe between articles. A new ‘paging’ feature has also been introduced, allowing you to jump to the next or previous page in an article by tapping the top or bottom of the screen. You can see these changes in action in the video above.
Some of the other highlights include:
- Images can now be shown in the article lists
- Greatly improved scrolling performance
- Improved cache management
- The limit to the number of feeds for the live tile has been removed
