Fallout 76’s upcoming Wastelanders expansion isn’t just aiming to improve upon the disastrous 76 mmo-like, it’s also aiming to improve upon Fallout 4.
Announced during a QuakeCon panel, Bethesda announced that the upcoming narrative update will be closer to Fallout 3.
“This isn’t the Fallout 4 dialogue system, project lead Jeff Gardiner announced.”This is more like Fallout 3…you’ll have a list of things, and you’re not just limited to those generic options.”
Alongside the introduction of a new narrative, Wastelanders will also introduce new weapons, factions and sub-factions. (Of course, one of those factions will be a cult. We wouldn’t have it any other way!)
Within Fallout 76 Wastelanders, players will now be treated to actual human NPCs, an all-new main quest, actual choices and consequences, new weapons, new gear, and more.
Appalachia's newest residents have their own lives, aspirations, and stories.

This new expansion is a free addition to the base game; every Fallout player will be able to dabble in the content for no extra charge.
Alongside the announcement of the expansion, Fallout 76 will also be getting a Battle Royale mode. Titled Nuclear Warfare, players will have to compete to become the new Overseer of Vault 76. Are you hyped?
