Facebook still wants you to upload your photos to its Facebook Stories app, and it’s bringing it to the desktop.
The firm is now testing a feature that lets users upload photos from their desktop PCs to Stories, as opposed to existing solely on mobile devices. This works much like you would on your normal newsfeed status posts, but for the story format, existing ephemerally for 24 hours.
Users can already view theirs and their friends already uploaded stories on the app, and it has added cross-posting of Stories between the Facebook and Instagram services.
Facebook has still not given any stats on Stories, and I doubt it’ll receive as much use Instagram and Snapchat just by a shift to desktops. Nevertheless, Facebook as a platform still remains popular among several demographics, and if there’s anything the social media company knows how to do, it’s capturing demographics.
