Facebook might be bringing Assassin’s Creed and Splinter Cell to its VR gaming platforms

Facebook will be making gaming a big priority by bringing  Assasin’s Creed and Splinter Cell to its Oculist Quest and Rift S devices according to a report from the Information.  Facebook’s foray into VR has not been entirely unsuccessful, but it hasn’t been hugely successful either. It has yet to actually release a VR product, and while VR is more known, it’s still relatively niche.

The firm plans on investing $1 billion to drive its gaming initiative as it lures in more customers to its platforms. As per the information, this move goes as high as Mark Zuckerberg himself, who has a personal involvement in the story.

Neither Facebook nor Oculus commented directly on the contents of the story. However, an Oculus spokesperson did note that “We cannot comment on specific partnerships, but we will continue to focus on expanding our library and reaching broader gaming audiences for years to come.”
