Samsung will release the next generation of their Galaxy S series next year, and unlike 2018 we expect 2019’s release to deliver a whole new design.
Now, reliable leaker, Evan Blass has confirmed the specs needed to create the dream bezel-less full-face smartphone as described in the concept image above.
Few preliminary Galaxy S10 details:
– "Punch hole" style selfie cam cutout (sounds like Infinity-O display).
– Ultrasonic, in-display FPS
– Three rear cameras (standard/wide/tele)
– One UI over Android Pie— Evan Blass (@evleaks) November 13, 2018
According to Blass the device will have an in-display fingerprint reader and also in-display “punch hole” style front-facing camera. This should allow Samsung to do away with both the top and bottom bezel of the device.
He also revealed the device will have not two but 3 rear-facing cameras, of the standard, wide and telephoto lens variety, and unsurprisingly ship with Android Pie.
While Blass notes specs are preliminary, it is likely the minimum Samsung needs to do to not just keep up with Apple, but also with hungry Chinese OEMs such as Huawei who are getting ready to eat their lunch with more affordable phones with better specs.
