Eight more games are heading to Xbox Game Pass over the next month or so, including Metal Gear Survive, Void Bastards, Outer Wilds, and Superhot.

Due to be added tomorrow, May 23rd, are Metal Gear Survive and The Banner Saga.

Metal Gear Survive is an action-adventure survival game and is the first Metal Gear game that doesn’t have Hideo Kojima’s legendary input.

The game follows the story of the Captain, a soldier who enters an alternate universe and tries to solve the mystery behind a zombie-like virus.

The Banner Saga, on the other hand, is a fantasy tactics RPG. Taking place in a world inspired by Norse mythology, the game follows the story of the player’s caravan as they fight a warlike race known as Dredge. There’s also an interactive story that changes based on how you play.

Joining Xbox Game Pass next is Void Bastards, which both actually releases and joins the service on the 29th of May.

Void Bastards is a strategy-shooter that aims to test your wits and, well, your aim. You need to lead the Void Bastards out of the Sargasso Nebula, planning ahead, exploring abandoned spaceships, and just generally trying to be a half decent leader.

On May 30th, Dead by Daylight and Outer Wilds will be added to Xbox Game Pass.

Dead by Daylight is an online multiplayer asymmetric survival horror game where one player takes on the role of a mass murderer known as the Killer while four other players play as Survivors.

What makes Dead by Daylight so interesting, aside from its 1v4 layout, is that the Survivors have a third-person perspective of the game while the Killer has a first-person view. The game is also packed full of pop culture references, making it the perfect game for any horror fan.

Outer Wilds is an open world exploration action-adventure indie game. You land on a planet and have 20 minutes before the sun explodes and kills you. After you die, the cycle repeats. With each new planet and each new 20 minutes, you need to learn something new which could help you break the cycle.

Next up are Full Metal Furies, The Banner Saga 2, and Superhot, all of which will be joining Xbox Game Pass on the 6th of June.

Full Metal Furies is a co-op RPG with a huge emphasis on ‘co-op’. You can play both online and offline, with online, ‘full couch’, and every other kind of co-op supported. You can also play alone if you want to!

You and your friends (or you and yourself) will need to work together to make sure that every move counts. Fight together, revive your allies, and help each other through an adventure that boasts over 20,000 one liners.

You might be able to guess what The Banner Saga 2 is about, given that its predecessor was explained a few paragraphs earlier. You should play the first instalment first, as your choices in that game will carry over to The Banner Saga 2.

The Banner Saga 2 features a whole host of new features, including new characters, new races, better combat, an emphasis on surviving as well as battling, and much more.

Last, but definitely not least, is Superhot.

The key feature of Superhot is that time moves only when you do, meaning you can stand still and work out just how screwed you are for as long as you want. It’s a first-person shooter with a delightful minimalist art style.

Superhot is a great play for anyone who enjoys shooters but hates the frantic panic that comes with them. Or just for anyone who enjoys shooters. Or even just for people who enjoy minimalism.
