eFitFashion’s online platform for custom-tailored clothes wins the Microsoft Imagine Cup

Microsoft today announced the winners of the Microsoft Imagine Cup 2015. eFitFashion is the winning team from Brazil which built an algorithm that automatically that is able to produce custom-tailored clothes. The online platform also allows users to connect with tailors and seamstresses who.

According to GeekWire, the team has already patented its algorithm and they’re already looking for investors. The team competed with two other teams – one of the team is from Austrailia which built the  Virtual Dementia Experience which apparently  helps caregivers and others understand and care for people with dementia. the other one is IzHard, which an immersive puzzle platforming game.

The team won $50,000 and they will also be able to get in a meeting with Microsoft’s CEO, Satya Nadella. Microsoft’s Alex Kipman said that “This is obviously going to take off”. Kipman has also tweeted about the winners, stating that he is “So proud of Team eFitFashion for taking the prize”.
