EA unveiled the next title for its Need for Speed franchise just last week. The studio today revealed the gameplay trailer for Need for Speed Payback, giving fans a look at all the upcoming action that’s coming with the game this November. The game itself does look pretty great in the gameplay trailer, where you get to see the classic slow-motion crashes. There’s a lot of things happening in the gameplay trailer for sure, although it does feel a lot like what we get to see in Fast and Furious movies.
During the official announcement of Need for Speed Payback, one of EA’s Executive Producers lined out the headline features of Need for Speed Payback:
“Need for Speed returns this year to challenge what players expect from racing games,. We’re still delivering everything our fans love about the franchise–the deepest customization, an impressive roster of cars, intense races and open world pursuits–but with Need for Speed Payback, we’re bringing together all those elements in an all new blockbuster driving experience. From the story, to the different characters you can drive as, to the varied missions, to the edge-of-your-seat moments, this is our vision for what action driving entertainment means today.”
Need for Speed Payback is set to be released on November 10, with EA Access and Origin Access subscribers getting early access on November 2nd. If you’re a fan of Microsoft’s Forza Horizon 3, Need for Speed Payback should be a breath of fresh air when it comes to the storyline. We’ll have more on this game and all the news coming from E3 this week, so make sure to stay tuned!
