Dropbox today launched new features for Microsoft Office integration. The new feature is part of the company’s Project Harmony and dubbed as the “Dropbox Badge”. The new feature is pretty simple  but very useful. The Dropbox Badge will appear on one of the corners of the Office apps. Whenever someone starts editing the file on another PC or smartphone, it will notify you. And it will also notify you when the other user updates the file and the Dropbox Badge will display a button to open the latest version of the document.

Surprisingly enough, the feature works on Office 2007, Office 2010, and Office 2013 on Windows and  Office 2011 and Office 2014 on OS X 10.8, OS X 10.9, and OS X 10.10.
