DRM issues hitting Windows Phone 8 Xbox Music/Xbox Video users

There is a thread of complaints on Microsoft’s support site from users complaining that video they purchased from Xbox Video on Windows 8 was unable to play on their Windows Phone 8 handsets with the error:

‘We are unable to confirm the media usage rights for this content’.

When purchased directly from the phone the video works fine, but when transferred either using the Windows 8 app or via drag and drop the DRM issues appear to arise. Other users also complain that music transferred from their desktop are suddenly de-authorized.
