The Nokia Lumia 710 has been able to come from behind and is within spitting distance of defeating the mighty Android flagship, the Samsung Galaxy Nexus, with only 800 votes needed.
With only 60 min left in the voting, can the Nokia Lumia 710 close the gap, and cause the Nokia Lumia range to win the whole voting contest by default?
Update: The Nokia Lumia 710 did take the crown in the end, coming from way behind yesterday slowly eroding the massive lead the Samsung Galaxy Nexus had to achieve victory in the end, hopefully a metaphor for the whole smartphone mobile OS battle over the next few years.
While we agree the Lumia 900 going up against the Galaxy Nexus would have been great, victory is never certain, and now we can certainly say the Samsung Galaxy Nexus was beaten not just by the new Nokia flagship, but even by a lowly mid-range Windows phone, which is in some ways even better.
A massive thank you to all the thousands of WMPoweruser readers (of the 7400 Lumia 710 votes 5500 came from here) who made this possible.
