DOOM 2016 on Nintendo Switch is very impressive from a technical standpoint, and porting developer Panic Button has pushed even more out of Nintendo’s tablet with this new update.
Update version 1.2 aims to bring better performance to the first person shooter alongside some new features.
On the feature side, Doom for Nintendo Switch introduces video capture – something a lot of first-party Nintendo games still don’t do. Also, if you play multiplayer, recent players can now easily be added to your Friend List.
Happy 25th Anniversary, @DOOM fans!
We got you a little something – an update to DOOM for #NintendoSwitch with increased performance, and you can now add recent players to your Friend List.
Oh – And video capture.

Panic Button really is a fantastic porting studio and their work with Nintendo Switch is nothing less than dark magic. With the upcoming release of Doom Eternal for Nintendo Switch, Panic Button is getting very familiar with the look of Hell.
