Does the Dell Venue Pro have no compass driver, even after official Mango update?

All Windows Phones have built-in Digital Compasses, but they have had to wait for Mango for the right drivers to make them available to third party developers.

It seems even after the official Mango update the Dell Venue Pro, a seemingly cursed device, still does not have support for the compass.

Users on XDA-Developers complain the device always reads 100 degrees, and further digging discovered that driver do not get installed at all.

XDA-Dev member MJS writes:

Well here is the problem…during the update this is what happened:

NkUpdate succeeded.
NkUpdate: Writing the NK partition...
NkUpdate: Successfully wrote the NK partition.

**** Starting IMGFS Update @ 16:46:58 ****
    Deleting file compassDrv.dll.

So yeah…good one dell

Good one indeed.  Presumably Dell will eventually release a firmware update to address the issue, but it is another blow to DVP owners, who recently learned that they will never get WIFI tethering also, and it seems have to wait extra long for the Mango update on AT&T.
