Does China love Windows Mobile?

So says ChinaPolling, who have polled 406 Chinese consumers.  The survey is mainly directed at answering questions about consumer adoption of China’s nascent 3G networks, and showed most consumers intend to upgrade to the new technology within the next year.

However when asked what OS they preferred on their smartphones, a stunning 70.2% picked Windows Mobile, followed by Symbian with only 10.7%.

The real question is of course the validity of the data, with Windows Mobile only holding a 10% smartphone market share in China, and 400 people being only a tiny fraction of the estimated 1.3 billion people in China, but on mspoweruser.com we are not going to be arguing too much, are we 😉
