Hey all,

For those who don’t know me, I’m Callum Moffat, the lead contributor for Petrolhead. Petrolhead is an open-source vehicle manager app, which is going multi-platform in the not-too-distant future. Petrolhead is designed to help you keep track of the ever-mounting cost of running and maintaining a vehicle. We’ve just progressed into the beta phase this morning, and I’m proud to announce the arrival of Beta 2, only a few hours later!

New Features

  • You can now create, edit and delete refuels and repairs!
  • We’ve made tons of UI enhancements. The color of the vehicle list has been updated, and we’ve made some changes to the tab menu layout, as well as shifting the add data button to the bottom of the screen.
  • In this release, you’ll see the start of work on the Dashboard view. The first feature to arrive is the ability to automatically query Rock Auto for a component list for your vehicle model! As far as we are aware (feel free to correct us if we’re mistaken), this feature is unique among vehicle managers!

Known Issues

As far as we are aware, the only real known issue in this release is that Dashboard view isn’t fully functional yet.

Take a look at the new Beta 2+ user interface!

We hope you enjoy this new release!
