We saw lots of rumors earlier this year that Apple will be releasing a larger display iPad device that will compete with devices like Microsoft Surface Pro 3. But it didn’t happen, Apple only announced new models of iPad Mini and iPad Air. Today, a Japanese Apple fan magazine published a full-scale schematic of Apple’s upcoming “iPad Air Plus,” which is expected to ship between April and June of 2015.
They also published more details about this upcoming device,
- Dimensions: 305.31 x 220.8 x 7mm (Surface Pro 3: 292.1mm x 201.4mm x 9.1mm)
- Display Size: 12.2-inch (Surface Pro 3: 12-inch)
- Processor: Apple A9 (Surface Pro 3: 4th generation Intel Core processor family (i3, i5, i7)
- Audio: Four built in speakers (Surface Pro 3: Stereo speakers with Dolby sound)
Among all the Surface models Microsoft has released so far in the market, Surface Pro 3 seems to be the most successful one, both in terms of sales and perception. Do you think Apple can beat Surface Pro 3 with the upcoming iPad Air Plus?
