Dell’s great Mobile Connect app is getting a big update with new features

Dell announced its Mobile Connect app for Dell PCs at CES 2018 last year. This app offered wireless integration between a Dell PC and smartphone allowing users to make calls, send texts, get notifications, and even mirror their phone onto your PC to interact with all their Android apps.

At CES 2019, Dell announced an upcoming update for Mobile Connect app that will allow users to wirelessly drag and drop files between their PC and Android phone. This upcoming update will also bring full visual design refresh.

Dell also demoed an experimental feature that integrates your phone’s notifications while you are using VR in your PC. You can answer phone-calls, get and respond to text messages, receive 3rd party app notifications, and interact with all apps through screen mirroring inside their VR experience.

Dell Mobile Connect comes pre-installed on all consumer Windows 10 XPS, Inspiron, Vostro, and Alienware PC purchased after January 2018.
