Dead Space 2, Dead Space 3 and more games are joining backward compatibility today

The day many Xbox One owners have been waiting for has arrived. Dead Space 2 and Dead Space 3 are joining backward compatibility today! However, that’s not all, some Xbox 360 hunting simulators are also coming to Xbox One. Today is definitely a glorious day for the service. It’s now possible to play the entire trilogy on Xbox One because Dead Space was already backward compatible all those months ago. On top of that, the original Dead Space was also a free Games with Gold title. Both of the games are also available digitally on the Xbox 360 Marketplace for $20. This is the first time that’s happened so if you haven’t picked up these games, especially Dead Space 2, do so now. Dead Space 3 was a disappointment so you won’t be missing out on much if you only decided to go with one game.

If you’re a fan of hunting games, today is also your lucky day. Cabela’s games are known for providing players with an authentic hunting experience so fan of the genre, or the spot in real life, will appreciate the options. However, the Dead Space announcement will definitely overshadow these other releases. The Dead Space series features amazing horror gameplay and while it became more action-focused in Dead Space 3—resulting in a significant drop in review scores—they’re still a lot of fun. If you own an Xbox One, you should definitely play the entire trilogy because they’re basically Resident Evil in space.
