On June 27, Dead by Daylight will add Five Nights at Freddy’s to its lineup, bringing the infamous animatronic killer Springtrap into the horror mix. Behaviour Interactive announced the crossover on May 27, confirming that this DLC will include Springtrap as a new killer and add Mike Schmidt, the original night guard from the series, as a survivor.

The update also introduces a new map—the pizzeria—though it’s only available in the game’s custom matches for now. Longtime FNaF fans will recognize the eerie setting, and Behaviour hints that it may become a regular map later.

Matthew Cote, head of partnerships at Behaviour, said this collaboration had been in the works for years. The team worked closely with FNaF creator Scott Cawthon to bring Springtrap’s personality and movements into Dead by Daylight without losing the character’s original feel.

Behaviour will release the DLC across all platforms and plans to reveal gameplay details on May 31 during a livestream. A public test build for PC launches today, letting players try out Springtrap and the new map early.
