Backward compatibility is an impressive feature which many thought wasn’t technically possible on Xbox One given the internal differences between the console and Xbox 360. Microsoft made it happen and are releasing games at a steady place. Today, Larry Hryb announced that Daytona USA, Stacking and Tower Bloxx Deluxe are coming to the program. While the three games may not be the heavy-hitters many were hoping for, they’re still fun titles which should keep you busy for hours!

Daytona USA

You may recognize Daytona USA from the arcades growing up. It originally came out in 1993 but got an Xbox 360 release in 2011. Surprisingly, it was quite popular on the console and gamers who loved the original should enjoy playing it on Xbox One. Daytona USA is a checkpoint-style racing game, featuring realistic physics and multiplayer action. It features three different racing tracks, multiple player views, and numerous secrets. It’s a superb racing title which set the benchmark for many years to come.

Stacking

Stacking was one of the most unique games on Xbox 360 and it’s finally coming to Xbox One! The game is based on Russian stacking matryoshka dolls. The player controls the smallest doll, Charlie Blackmore, who has the ability to stack and unstack into larger dolls and use their abilities to solve puzzles. The plot follows Charlie as he has to free his older siblings and put an end to the practice of child labor. The puzzles are quite open-ended so solving them is rather trivial.

Tower Bloxx Deluxe

Tower Bloxx Deluxe is an action-puzzle hybrid played by millions in their browsers, but Xbox Live players get the full high-definition experience with revolutionary social scoring, avatar support, power-ups and even multiplayer on Xbox 360. Get ready for edge-of-your-seat action that’ll have you creating swaying, tipping and tumbling towers sky high.

If you own any of these games on Xbox 360, be sure to download them on Xbox One right now! If not, definitely check them out on the Xbox 360 Marketplace because they represent quirky but addictive experiences.
