CD Projekt Red’s upcoming open world extravaganza will actually include a multiplayer component. In fact, Cyberpunk 2077 multiplayer will release after the base game’s launch.
While the game already sounds like a feature-complete single-player adventure, with huge post-launch DLC, fans have been hankering for a multiplayer component.
A leak last year did reveal that developer CD Projekt was working on a multiplayer title, but it would appear that title will be added to the original game.
2/2 The plan for now is to deliver Cyberpunk 2077 in April, then follow up with DLCs (free!) and single player content, and — once we’re done — invite you for some multiplayer action.

Multiplayer will be a late addition to Cyberpunk 2077. Announced through a tweet, CD Projekt stated that multiplayer will come once they’ve finished the game’s single-player DLC.
Cyberpunk 2077 multiplayer isn’t the only multiplayer component to come post-launch. While the wait wasn’t nearly as long, Red Dead Online is another example of a post-launch multiplayer mode.
